Underground Christmas

Merry belated Christmas everyone!
These pictures may also be belated, as Christmas was 2 days ago, but I thought I'd share some photos from the Gangnam Terminal Underground Shopping Arcade in Banpo, southern Seoul.

The arcade is full of stores selling EVERYTHING. Well, almost everything. There are fresh flowers:

fake flowers and plants:

dinnerware and products for interior decorating...like gourds:

earthenware:

more fake plants/interior decorating products:

plastic fruit:

bags:

And for the last two months of the year, many of the stores are full of all things Christmas:

Sorry for the poor quality of some of these photos. I had a bunch more that were too blurry due to insufficient lighting (I hate using the flash). I was also taking pictures as I walked up and down the strip, making sure not to stop long enough for a store owner to decide he/she did not want me there simply taking pictures.

Anyway, hope you enjoyed the photos. I'll try to work on steadying my hands for my next photo shoot :)

Happy holidays, everyone!

Hi sarah
I hope you had a Happy Christmas. :)

That's a nice place, I like it even just for looking or taking pictures ;)

In such markets they have everything, prices may be cheaper but if not, you still have a variety of thing in one place, which makes shopping easier.

We say "Az Shir-e Morgh ta Joon-e Adamizad" meaning "From Chicken's Milk till Human's Life" in such markets is found. LOL

It means the same EVERYTHING that you wrote! ;)

I wish you a Healthy, Happy & Prosperous New Year (2009) too.

Hane A Nice Day & Year

Harold--
Haha, I'm from Hawaii, so I understand what you mean--I used to grumble and whine it was 60F in Hawaii.

Vic--a very busy road is above the shopping center. It's right by he Express Bus Terminal, so you can imagine the traffic in and around the area.

Well, Honolulu is one of the choices I am looking at regarding creating the HQ for the company I am founding - Production 1011101 (93). I like the fact that it is about 6 or so hours of flight time to/from anywhere in the Pacific.
